Rod Loyola

Rod Loyola is a former union president who first ran as an NDP candidate in 2012, placing third. In 2014 Loyola was a candidate in the NDP leadership race, in which he also placed third, before he won a seat in the Assembly in 2015 and kept it in 2019. Loyola got his Bachelor of Arts in Cultural and Economic Anthropology and History from the University of Alberta. Loyola was born in Chile, but emigrated to Canada as a child and currently lives in Edmonton with his wife and two sons.
